Ingredients:
1 egg beaten1 cup raw sugar or sucanat1 3/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt, optional1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 cup canola oil1 cup water1 teaspoon cinnamon powder1 teaspoon nutmeg powder1 teaspoon allspice powder1/2 teaspoon clove powder1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (or both), coarsely chopped

Instructions: |
Pre heat oven to 375. In a large mixing bowl, add sugar to beaten egg. Mix well. Add oil and water, beat again. Into a separate bowl, sift all dry ingredients (except nuts) and blend. Add dry to wet ingredients and mix. Fold in chopped nuts. Pour into an oiled 9x12 pan. Bake for 25-30 min or until firm in the middle. Cool on a rack before icing and or cutting. |
